THE DIRECT ENGAGEMENT LANGUAGE TRAINING SCHEME

WHAT IS THE DIRECT ENGAGEMENT SCHEME?

The Direct Engagement Scheme is a way for a company to offer self-financed on-line or in-company language training to the staff.

Using the Direct Engagement Scheme, you can offer your staff the opportunity to book an on-line language course or a course that will take place in your premises and you only have to provide the training room for the course to take place, at the time and the day that suit you.

We have been offering this scheme to a few of our clients such as Oracle EMEA, Munich Re and eBay Inc. in various languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Chinese and English as a Foreign Language at various levels.

Your staff have the possibility to book a place in one of the chosen language courses for an all-inclusive price of €190.00 for 10 hours of training (10 sessions).

In order to boost the interest in language training and promote the languages that would be an asset for your company, you can decide to refund part of or all the fee provided that the attendance of the student has been satisfactory (60%, 70%…). However, this is your choice. If you are interested in running the Direct Engagement Scheme, it is up to you to redeem part of the course or not, depending on your budget and training policy.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

    First of all, you need to run an internal enquiry among your staff to find out:

    Which languages they are interested in?
    At which level (Beginners, A1, A2, B1…)? – See CEFR level chart in section Level testing on our web site.
    Which formula they would favour:

    1. 1. A lesson early in the morning (8:00, 8:30 or 9:00),
    2. 2. At lunch time (12:00, 12:30 or 13:00) or
    3. 3. At the end of the day (17:00, 17:30 or 18:00).

    Once this information has been gathered, we will create your Company Direct Engagement web page in our web site.

    This page will be accessible through the link:

    We will give you your own username and password so that you will be able to review the advertised Company language courses. Note that this information will only be accessible by you and your staff, using your personal username and password.

    We will then decide on starting dates together and you will just have to advertise the chosen courses internally.
  • 4.
    You will then be able to book your place in the language course of your choice using PayPal, your credit card via Stripe (secure server) or a bank transfer.
  • 5.
    Once we have a minimum of 5 trainees for a given course, we will let you know that we are ready to start the course and you will just have to book a training room in your premises for the duration of the course if you choose the on-site option.

The Direct Engagement Language Training Scheme is an excellent way to encourage your staff to learn and improve a language that will be an asset for your company, without wasting time travelling and for a very competitive price. This training scheme will only cost you some time to advertise the courses and some space to run them!
