The following course has been tailored for “St. Columba’s College”

The courses listed below have been specially designed for the pupils of St. Columba’s College by Languages Unlimited Services. All three courses will be delivered on-site in the premises of the College. Whatever examination you chose to prepare for (PET-B1, FCE-B2 or CAE-C1), the course will be run over 20 weeks from October 2024 to May 2025. The examinations will take place at the Exam Centre of Ireland (D07 NP8H) in June 2025 (several dates will be offered). Note that the fee to sit the examination is not included in the fee to follow the course.

CAMBRIDGE EXAMS PREPARATION COURSES

This course is a general preparation open to all St. Columba’s College classes.

The course will last 20 weeks (1h00 per class) and will take place on:

  • Wednesdays from 18:30 to 19:30 for the PET-B1
  • Thursdays from 18:30 to 19:30 for the FCE-B2
  • Thursdays from 19:30 to 20:30 for the CAE-C1

Classes will take place on the following dates (TBC) :

October : 2&3 / 9&10 / 16&17

November : 6&7 / 13&14 / 20&21 / 27&28

Décember : 4&5

8 classes for 2024

January : 8&9 / 15&16 / 22&23

February : 5&6 / 12&13

March : 5&6 / 12&13 / 26&27

April : 29&30

May : 7&8 / 14&15 / 21&22

12 classes for 2025

Material :

An exam preparation manual will be provided to all students (included in the course fee).

  • PET B1 Preliminary 1 with Answers
  • FCE Laser B2 Workbook with Key Audio CD.
  • CAE Result with Key and Audio CD.

Fee :

Course of 20 weeks:            €450.00 payable at the beginning of the course via PayPal/Stripe on our site or by bank transfer.

Examination enrolment:   €290.00 payable before the examination via PayPal/Stripe on our site or by bank transfer.

    Examens : 

    Les examens se tiendront à l’Exam Centre of Ireland (Whitworth Building, Morning Star Avenue, D07 NP8H) en mai ou en juin 2025 au choix. Les dates des examens vous seront communiquées dès leur publication par le Centre afin que vous puissiez choisir la session convenant le mieux à votre enfant.

    Professeur :

    Giovana Goci will be the teacher who will look fater the three groups.

    Giorgiana has been an English and Romanian teacher since 2000. While still a student, she taught English to preschool levels and one-to-one corporate tutoring. She has a Bachelor Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching Romanian and Universal Literature and Grammar (from The Technical Univesity of Cluj Napoca). She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Management (from the University of Arad) and another Degree in Web Design and Project Management (from Ibat College, Dublin). Giorgiana is also a Romanian-English accredited and authorised interpreter, registered with the Ministry of Justice in Romania and Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade in Ireland, as well as an Acelts recognised English and Romanian teacher. She joined Languages Unlimited in April 2016.
